PREPARATION

The project is divided by stages: January/February-May and September – December, with break during summer. The project coordinator is always in touch with the partners and sends all necessary updates in advance. The partners are free to adjust the schedule depending on regional academic peculiarities, but always after discussing and confirming this with the project coordinator.

Prepare an equipped classrooms according to the FIDE guidelines. You can contact local specialized schools of NGO’s to find the venue for the project. We recommend to start from 1 group of 4 students of same age with ASD to launch the project and have 1 lesson (40-45 min) in a week in this 1 group.
Parents should sign the consent in order their kid can participate in the project. We send this document to you by email. Parents must confirm that the autism diagnosis is medically diagnosed.

Chess teachers, coaches and must watch the educational seminars of Infinite Chess Project, “Chess for children with an autism spectrum disorder. Learn and teach”. It is obligatory condition before the start of the project.

EQUIPMENT

Partners will need a special black and white demonstration board for the project with 3 logos (FIDE, INFINITE Chess Project logo, your logo).

Individual chess boards and pieces as well as additional equipment you may need for the project (relax area, books, etc) for kids are covered by the partner.

We can consider the partner’s budget request for the equipment; final decision is made by the FIDE management.

INFORMATION TO BE PROVIDED BEFORE THE START

1. The date when you are launching the project.
2. Name of the coach, their email and WhatsApp number.
3. Name of the tutor, their email and WhatsApp number.
4. Name of the project coordinator (if you have), their email and WhatsApp number.
5. Place for classes.
6. How many kids are expected at the group.
7. Do you need any help to launch the project?

REPORT

In the end of each stage partners send the chess lessons diary (send to partners by email) and brief report about the number of conducted classes, progress and issues (if any) for further discussion and evaluation.
